International Standards

Understanding the quality of the product you are buying is very important. When comparing prices and equipment you must always make sure that a product is made and tested to an international standard.

Until such time as the standards below become compulsory by New Zealand law, you can be assured Mobility Plus will source equipment that adheres to these international standards.

• AS/NZS, and ISO standards are documents that contain guidance and establish specifications for goods, services and systems. Standards are developed by domestic and international standards bodies, regulators and industry bodies.
• ISO The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an international standard-setting body composed of representatives from various national standards organizations. Founded on 23 February 1947, the organization promotes worldwide proprietary, industrial and commercial standards.
• CE marking is a certification mark that indicates conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). The CE marking is also found on products sold outside the EEA that are manufactured in, or designed to be sold in, the EEA.
